Transition Preschool Program

The Children’s Cottage campus, our satellite school, provides a learning environment in a small house setting that is warm and nurturing for the very young child. It offers programs for children that are not yet potty trained, but are ready for the preschool experience. Please ask the office for more information about this program.

Pre Kindergarten Programs

(2 years 4 months - 4 years by December 2)

Our pre kindergarten programs provide a warm and nurturing environment designed to provide experiences for the young child entering an academic and social setting for the first time. The Cottage campus provides a learning environment in a small house setting, while the High Street campus offers a school-like setting. The main goal for the pre kindergarten class is to learn independence through a prepared environment enriched with learning didactics as we “follow the child”. The class has a ratio of 1adult to 9 children.

Children learn language concepts, numbers and quantities, shapes and colors, size discriminations and about the world around them through the cultural subjects such as geography, botany zoology and history. In aaddition to following the Montessori curriculum learn about the grace and courtesy, music and movement, library skills , art , and foreign language. They learn to use their large motor skill through our Jack Capon's Motor Fitness Program.

 

Program times: 3, 4, or 5 days per week

8:30AM-3:00PM – Full day

8:30AM-12:30PM – Part-time

Cottage Campus:  Children need not be fully potty trained

 2 years 4 months - 4 years by December 2

High Street Campus: Fully potty trained

 2 years 9 months - 4 years by December 2
